You Liked The Show, Here's theLive Album

Those fans who attend MC5’s shows in Australia this month will be able to take a copy of the gig home with them for posterity.
Smash Touring, promoters of DTK/MC5’s Australian tour, will offer fans the opportunity to take home a copy of the show, minutes after the last track has been played. Similar technology has been used on the Pixies reformation tour of the United States. Fans have been able to purchase copies of the show straight after the gig. Up to half the patrons attending those shows have purchased the live CD. To give these discs added souvenir value, the surviving members of DTK/MC5 will make themselves available to personalise your freshly pressed tour CD.
Smash Touring see this technology as an important step forward, as it allows bands to realise extra profit from their tours, as well as sating fans appetites for new material. With a bit of luck when/if the Pixies tour, they’ll use this technology here in Australia!
