Wed 17th Jan, 2007 in Local News
Kobra Kai and Lotek (UK) team up for one night of dub, hip hop and dnb madness as they take over Spectrum this Sundayto deliver Freedom Sounds.
Lotek - producer, DJ, MC extraordinaire - brings his own take on dub, reggae, and hip-hop, along with a wealth of experience. Originally making a name for himself producing tracks for Roots Manuva, Lotek soon become a legend in the dub/hip hop scene. Since releasing his debut album, Mixed Blessings in July 2006, he has set up stumps in Australia to work on a new album, Counter Clockwise featuring a who’s who fo Ausiie hip hop including Ozi Batla, Plutonic Lab and Josie Styles.
Support act Kobra Kai recently caused a fuss in the Sydney music scene when they were named as one of the four finalists in the Nokia Be Heard Competition. The six piece dnb act is sure to win over the crowd at spectrum as they deliver their hip hop dnb stylings. The gig marks the only Sydney show for both acts over January. Don’t miss out!
