Bootleg your Aussie Day Evewith Youth Group

After completing a hectic overseas tour that included the prestigious Coachella Festival, touring nationally with Coldplay, a slot at the sold-out Splendour In The Grass Festival and their own sold out national tour, not to mention releasing their third LP, Casino Twilight Dogs, winning an ARIA award and, of course, their single Forever Young, 2006 was a massive year for Youth Group.

With Australia’s best kept underground secrets now propelled into the limelight, 2007 shows no signs of the band slowing down, with Youth Group returning to Melbourne on Australia Day eve to headline a massive event at Bootleg – Geddes Lane.

In keeping with the public holiday spirit that last year saw Wolf & Cub and The Temper Trap pack out all four levels of Geddes Lane on Cup Eve, Bootleg again goes all out, this time on the Eve of Australia Day, Thursday January 25. Joining Youth Group will be manic grunge trio Children Collide, Queensland child prodigies Operator Please and indie new comers Young Lovers, plus resident DJs carry_the zero, Gringo, Gobshite and support from Gap Tooth, dj Vinyl Ritchie, Bromance and DJ Islam and the Jew.

So party in long weekend style at Geddes Lane, off King St/Flinders Lane on Thursday January 25.

Tickets are on sale from Wednesday January 10 from Missing Link, Polyester Records, The Corner Box Office, Dangerfield Flinders Street or online at www.webtickets.com.au .
