The Angels and Rose Tattoo have been named to play a special fundraiser gig at Claremont Showgrounds to raise funds for a statue honouring original ACDC vocalist Bon Scott.
Scott is buried in Fremantle Cemetery, and his grave is one of the most visited in the country. A committee has been planning the statue for some time, but now with the Bon Scott Celebration Concert, scheduled for February 25, the plan is about to become a reality.
The concert, presented by Fremantle’s Esplanade Hotel and 96FM as part of the 2007 WAMi Festival will also treat punters to a performance from The Party Boys, an all-star band featuring members of Mondo Rock and The Angels, as well as former ACDC bassist Mark Evans.
The full lineup for the Bon Scott Celebration Concert includes:
The Angels
Rose Tattoo
The Party Boys
The Screaming Jets
Dave Warner
The Spazzys
The Flairz
