Well it’s been a damn fine week for the Hilltop Hoods with the act not only grapping up an award at the Inaugural AIR Chart Awards – but snaffling the J Award for Australian Album of the Year

The Adelaide lads scored the award for their stellar effort, The Hard Road grabbing the award away from some very tough competition including Augie March, Blue King Brown and The Sleepy Jackson.

Collecting their award in Sydney, the boys offered the following comment on what was to them an unexpected win:  ”This is an absolute surprise. The J Award is probably more important than any other award we’ve won. We’d like to thank triple j for being the first to support Australian hip-hop. Thanks to Obese Records and our manager PJ and thank you to triple j and everyone who has shown us support and love this year.”
