It’s been 13 years since indie heroes Modest Mouse played an Australian gig, but that’s all about to change with the band announcing a series of sideshows alongside their appearance at this year’s Falls Festival.

With a new album (due for release 2007) and a new band member (The Smiths Johnny Marr) to showcase, plus the return of original drummer Jeremiah Green to the fold, these shows are certain to be kickarse.

Vocalist Isaac Brock has described the new album as a “nautical balalaika carnival romp” and Rolling Stone is already singing the praises of the new release.

If you wanna see one of the best indie bands around - then set your digit to dial – as these gigs will surely sell out.
