Big Day Out bands confirmed
Tue 3rd Oct, 2006 in Local News
The worst-kept secret of the year is finally official. Metal giants Tool will be heading to Australia this summer to headline the 2007 Big Day Out. It will be the band’s first visit to our shores since their 2002 Lateralus tour and fans will be anxious to catch the band as they tour new album 10,000 Days.
Also making the trip in 2007 will be Muse, whose shows on the 2004 BDO circuit made them favourites with Australian audiences. Black Holes and Revelations, the band’s latest offering, hit number one in Australia, signalling the fact that Muse are one of the biggest rock acts on the planet.
One of the other major success stories of 2004, The Killers, will also be joining the bill this summer. After selling squillions of copies of debut album Hot Fuss, the Vegas quartet will return to Australia in support of new album Sam’s Town.
After a lengthy absence from the live scene, Jet head up the homegrown contingent. Also joining the bill are The Sleepy Jackson, Eskimo Joe and The Herd.
