YHA Peace Festival - Set to beAustralia's Biggest Event on aRoundabout!!

This Sunday Adelaide is set to see the biggest FREE festival ever on a roundabout!

Light Square, usually reserved for taking a quiet stroll in the park will be home to the sounds of Labjacd, Sime Nugent, Mia Dyson, Liz StringerThe Audreys, Heather Frahn, etype jazz, and Dada Nii and the Damushi Ensemble as well as a host of other local performers including; Taiko drummers, Bollywood, Afro-brazilian and Indigenous dancers, and a large group of Accordion players (for something completely different). 

Amidst the music and dancing there will also be visual art, childrens activities, workshops, and roving performance as well as a spread of stall holders offering a great range of international and local delicacies and wares.  

YHA is pleased to announce our MC’s for this years event, comedians Sebastian Carboncini (aka Phil Firen) and Sam McMahon (aka Jogger Man). Also joining us we have a special guest speaker Nic Frances, brother of Jeremy Gilley, the man behind the Peace One Day movement. Nic will tell us all about the sequel to the inspirational movie Peace One Day www.peaceoneday.org a winner at the 2004 Adelaide Film Festival. 

This the 4th year YHA has hosted the YHA Peace Festival celebrating the United Nations International day of Peace and raising awareness of Peace One Day, and organisers are expecting the biggest turnout yet.

Get yourself down to Light Square (the big roundabout) Sunday 17th September, in fact swing by on your way back from the City to Bay Fun Run for a well deserved break.

Festivities commence at 11am and conclude at 9pm, and as always entrance is FREE!
