INXS announced to play NRLGrand Final

It has been announced that Aussie rock icons INXS will be headlining the entertainment program for this year’s NRL grand final at Telstra Stadium on October 1st. The announcement has come midway through the Australian leg of their ‘Switched On’ tour, which has been recieving rave reviews right around the country.
“INXS are without doubt one of Australia’s leading musical acts. Few bands in the world can claim to have the influence INXS have had on the music industry over such a long period of time and we are absolutely thrilled to have them perform at the Grand Final.” Paul Kind, NRL Director of Marketing and Commercial said in a statement.
The Hoodoo Gurus will open the grand final show for 2006, performing their classic track ‘Wipe Out’ to officially welcome the Gold Coast Titans into the 2007 Telstra Premiership.
