To celebrate the release of his debut album Alarm Clock Radiation early next month, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist The Model School, aka Brendan Wixted, will be playing album launches in Melbourne and Sydney throughout July.
Earning comparisons with the likes of The Eels and Sparklehorse, The Model School has already become a firm favourite with the Sydney indie music scene. Thus Wixted’s album is an eagerly anticipated release.
Why not give your ears a treat and catch The Model School when he launches said CD at a series of dates over the next month.
Apart from his CD launches, Wixted will play a couple of support gigs throughout the month; Melbournites will be lucky enough to catch him when he supports indie heroes Pitching Woo at the Tote in Melbourne on Thursday June 29, while Sydneysiders can try their luck when The Model School support bluegrass and country-esque group Nic Dalton and the Gloomchasers at the Hopetoun Hotel in Sydney on Saturday 22 July.
Launch Dates:
Friday July 7 – The Hopetoun Hotel, Surry Hills. Supported by I Love Space and Merle Morris
Friday July 21 – Pony, Melbourne. Supported by Merle Morris and I Love Space.
Alarm Clock Radiation is released on July 1 through Shiny Records.
