New album for Bluebottle Kiss
Thu 8th Jun, 2006 in Local News
2006 has seen Bluebottle Kiss come out of the gates with a flying start. Their single ’The Women Are An Army’ shot up the charts at the beginning of the year giving the band some much deserved attention; a national tour supported by Richmond Fontaine followed, then a trip to Austin’s SXSW festival cemented the band’s reputation with OS press touting them as a band to watch. Showcase gigs in LA and NYC followed - with the future of BBK looking bright and rosy.
Cut to June 12, when the band will capitalise on all these recent successes with the release of their new album, Doubt Seeds.
The album, the group’s sixth, has been proclaimed as a “genre-abusing, description-defying double CD” , confirming frontman Jamie Hutchings “as one of Australia’s most innovative and gifted songwriters and producers”.
Now that’s high praise indeed!
Check it out for yourself when the album releases on June 12 on Non Zero, distributed by Shock.
