Ticket holders to this year’s sold out Splendour in the Grass festival will be well pleased with the latest (and final) additions to the line-up for the two day festival.

Glaswegian legends Mogwai have been added to the bill, and their post punk sounds will certainly get the joint grooving to their sometimes chilled, sometimes dark – always rocking beats.

Sweden’s answer to prog rock – Dungen – will be providing the psychedelic head trip of the Splendour experience. Local act Something for Kate, make a welcome return to the festival and will be showcasing tracks from their forthcoming album Desert Lights. Hip hop master, Tzu will be taking us back to the essence of a great break beat and a freestyle rhyme. US rapper Mos Def makes his first appearance on Australian shores at Splendour. Beasts of Bourbon frontman, that growler of Australian rock, Tex Perkins takes to the stage and croons out some new numbers from his latest solo release. Jebediah’s Kevin Mitchell delivers up tasty serving of his alter ego Bob Evans. Lior plans to sweep us away with his rootsy acoustic stylings.

Making their first appearance at Splendour are The Predators (some of whom are probably better known for playing in a little Aussie band called Powderfinger) expect some Floyd inspired psychedelic rock. Brother and sister act Angus and Julia Stone, take to the stage with their melancholic rhythms. Bryon outfit Raz Bim Sam and the Lion I Band will kick it with some heavy bass and catchy guitar licks.

Perennial fave, crooner Pete Murray, will warm the cockles with his balladeering. Josh Pyke will lend some acoustic guitar stylings. New kids on the block Expatriate will lose their cherry at this year’s Splendour, heating up the stage with their enthusiastic rock. The tasty goodness that is otherwise known as Gerling will deliver a killing set of guerrilla styled electronic guitar mash. Flavour of the month Van She will relieve the eighties with their post pop rock stylings and hip hop fans will cruise on in to the reclining rhymes of 1200 technique’s NFA.

Ah, sweet satisfaction…
