Pip Branson Corporation ToTake A 'Rostered Day Off'
Fri 28th Apr, 2006 in Local News
One of the stalwarts of the ever changing and ever growing Sydney scene is of course the curly-haired, blue-eyed musical traveler, Pip Branson, who started out in his early days in Sydney’s 90s ‘it’ band, Sidewinder. Since those days Pip has kept himself musically occupied travelling the world and playing stints in the ARIA award winning Something For Kate.
These days, Pip has been more than happy to settle back at home in Sydney and put together his own project, The Pip Branson Corporation, who have been gaining Sydney’s attention for the last two years with the pure rock energy of their shows, adding that little ‘something extra’ to live bills.
Now it’s time to take their well-earned pole-position at the top of the bill as they take over The Hopetoun Hotel this Sunday with support from The Vespers (the hottest thing to hit the Sydney scene since Van She), Stevie Smythe, DJs Linda Marigliano (FBi, teenagersintokyo) and Jack Shit, but a ‘rostered day off’ needs a little something extra right? Well out the back you’ll find a splendid Sunday evening BBQ, fired up by none other than Dave MacCormack and Shane Melder of The Polaroids and Triple J’s Robbie Buck. The action is set kick off this Sunday at 6pm sharp!
