Rumours Abound On This Year'sSplendour In The Grass Line-Up

As New York noise rockers Sonic Youth get set for the June release of their latest studio effort ‘Rather Ripped’, they’ve already planned to follow the latest longplayer up with a stack of overseas live dates.

Latest rumours have it that part of Sonic Youth’s plan for world re-domination include an Australian tour, which looks to include Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass festival.

Although further investigation seems to surface no concrete announcements, their current publicised tour dates for July have just the right amount of a gap to fit in with the allegations. Other acts currently doing the rounds in the rumour mill, and with the requisite free space in the tour diaries, include The Rakes, Ladytron, the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, The Presets and Wolfmother.

If these rumours come into fruition over the next few weeks along with the festival’s first official announcement, then this is already shaping up to be one exciting SiTG.
