Brothers and Sisters! The MC5Are Coming To Australia!
Sun 18th Apr, 2004 in Local News
Legendary and highly influential rockers from Detroit, MC5 will be kicking out the jams in Australia on the Sonic Revolution Tour.
Over thirty years later, surviving founding members Wayne Kramer (guitar), Dennis Thompson (drums) and Michael Davis (bass) came together in March 2003 for a show at London’s famous 100 Club. Joining them were guests including Motorhead’s Lemmy, The Damned’s Dave Vanian, Ian Astbury and The Hellacopters’ Nicke Royale. The performance received immense praise from both fans and critics, including:
“They rip the 100 Club to shreds with a force 50 gale of everything you love about rock n’ roll.” — NME
On their Australian tour they will be joined by guest vocalists, Mark Arm (Mudhoney), Evan Dando (Lemonheads) and Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) as guest guitarist. Joining them on the tour will be Sweden’s Dollhouse.
The dates are:
Friday 23 July – The Palace, Melbourne
Friday 30 July – Selinas, Sydney
