Groovin' The Moo 2013 lineup

Groovin’ the Moo has announced its 2013 lineup lead by The Bronx, Tegan and Sara and The Kooks.

Following on from last year’s sold out tour GTM have confirmed nine international acts so far, alongside a large local contingent including Alpine, Regurgitator , The Temper Trap and Tame Impala.

The Bronx first toured here in 2004 and have been regular visitors to Australia. The band was also on our shores in 2011 and 2007 with the Soundwave Festival, for Meredith in 2008, a combined The Bronx/Mariachi El Bronx tour in 2009 and in 2010 for the Melbourne Arts Festival. Last year the band returned to play two shows supporting Soundgarden as The Bronx while touring with Big Day Out in Mariachi form.

Reviewing their set opening for Soundgarden in Melbourne, FL reported that the band were “loud, ear bleedingly, brain meltingly loud. All clad in black and spruiking high energy hard rock and hardcore punk the deep fast bass rhythms contrast with singer Matt Caughthran’s high end screams and shouts.”

Maitland Showground will host the first stop of the 2013 tour on Saturday, April 27 before the festival heads to the University of Canberra, Bendigo’s Prince of Wales Showground, Townsville’s Murray Sports Complex and Bunbury’s Hay Park.
