Bullet For My Valentineannounce sidewaves
Sun 16th Dec, 2012 in Local News
Following hot on the heels of the announcement that Tomahawk will be playing two Soundwave side-shows comes news that another of the festival’s big names are going to be doing likewise. Bullet For My Valentine, one of the highlights of the festival’s second lineup announcement, will be playing two extra concerts – one in Sydney and the other, surprisingly, in Brisbane.
The shows are set to come within weeks of the release of the next Bullet For My Valentine album, Temper Temper. Their fourth studio album, frontman Matt Tuck has said that its recording process was inspired by the way his side project AxeWound handles things. Rather than preparing demos in advance, they travelled to a studio in Thailand with producer Don Gilmore with nothing prepared, writing all of the songs as they were recording them. The first single, also called ‘Temper Temper’, came out in November and gives a hint of what the songs they’ll likely be playing here might sound like.
Supporting Bullet For My Valentine on both dates are Cancer Bats, who are playing these two shows to make up for their postponed tour back in July. Tickets for those dates will still be valid in February for these. Finally, rounding out the bill are Ohio metal band Miss May I, who released their third album At Heart earlier this year.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, December 21.
