Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds2013 tour
Mon 3rd Dec, 2012 in Local News
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds will return to Australia in February 2013 to show off songs from their 15th studio album Push The Sky Away.
The band, which currently features Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Jim Sclavunos, Thomas Wydler, Martyn Casey, Ed Kuepper and Conway Savage will play Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and two shows at the Sydney Opera House with members of the Sydney Symphony. They will be performing songs from their entire back-catalogue and are promising “the grandest production of their career.”
Last here to headline All Tomorrow’s Parties in 2009, FL was at the band’s Adelaide sideshow: “The Bad Seeds live is a confronting and often alienating experience. This time out was no exception and whilst this configuration of the band has yet another new rock-orientated, glammier sound then before, their expertise, mastery of aural theatre and intimate knowledge of their back-catalogue left no possibility for a concert anything less than breathtaking.”
The news comes only days after the band released the single ‘We No Who U R’ – a sombre ballad which features a mysterious female vocal – you can listen to it here.
