Sum 41, Billy Talent sidewaves

Sum 41 and Billy Talent have joined forces and added their names to the sidewave rollcall by announcing shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Since their last visit in 2011, Sum 41 have released a new album – Screaming Bloody Murder – and played a series of shows in the States celebrating the tenth anniversary of their Does This Look Infected? album. Sum 41 toured with Soundwave in 2011, however their sidewave shows were cancelled at the last minute when frontman Deryck Whibley fell ill and was unable to perform. Billy Talent fans have been more fortunate with oppertinities to see the band recently with the band returning for Soundwave 2013 just a few months after their national headline tour in August this year.

With the Soundwave festival tour sold out in every city the sidewave shows has been keenly anticipated by fans who missed out on ticket, and anyone wanting to see their favourite bands twice. So far sidewaves have been announced for Blink 182, Linkin Park, Stone Sour, and Paramore. (And although they’re not technically “sidewaves” Puscifer have also announced a few shows to coincide with the tour by frontman Maynard James Keenan’s A Perfect Circle.)

Sum 41, Billy Talent sidewaves:

Tuesday, February 26 – UNSW Roundhouse, Sydney (Licensed All Ages)
Thursday, February 28 – The Palace, Melbourne (18+)

Tickets on sale Friday, November 30
