"Obscene" new festival headingto Australia

Rectal Smegma. Spineless Fuckers. Bowel Fuck. Human Scum. Sadistic Blood Massacre. Internal Suffering. Cock and Ball Torture.
That’s a possible lineup for Australia’s newest festival, Obscene Extreme, which is set to descend onto an as yet unnamed venue in Melbourne next April. The festival of grindcore, crust, punk, death metal, thrash metal, hardcore and everything in between has been running in the Czech Republic since 1999 and will expand next year to include dates in Mexico, Indonesia and Australia.
According to the festival’s official website, the Obscene Extreme is “one of the only truly underground festivals to unite big, genre-defining bands, and small, cult bands”. The promoters have promised that there’ll be “No shitty rules [and] no shitty security” at the show and fans are encouraged to “wear a gasmask [or] dress as a goregrind banana”.
While there’s no announcement on the lineup for the Australian festival over 500 bands have played at Obscene Extreme since its foundation including the wonderfully named bands above and the likes of Cripple Bastards, Entrails Massacre, Melancholy Pessimism, Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation, and Mincing Fury and Guttural Clamour of Queer Decay.
