There is an huge array of acts on the Peats Ridge 2012 lineup from headliners John Butler Trio and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, through to the Black Seeds, Blood Red Shoes, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and a DJ set from Friendly Fires.

Peats Ridge has a history of discovering new talent, and has launched the careers of some of Australia’s top acts. This year will be no different with the lineup set to grow with more acts set to join the bill in the coming months.

The festival also prides itself as a world leader in sustainable events and remains family orientated with a full children’s program available. The Peats Ridge experience is about much more than the music, as the festival’s founder Matt Grant told FasterLouder in 2009, “What makes a festival is when the sun goes down and the place really comes alive. You’re creating an alternate reality for people at a festival – an opportunity to step out of their everyday lives.”

Last year saw more than 10,000 people attend Peats each day and festival director Matt Grant says that “This year is going to be an amazing for Peats, and with John Butler trio headlining, we are expecting tickets to go quicker than ever before”.
