Big Brother loves indie pop

Sadly Heatwave promoter (and FL fave) Mastacraft failed in his bid to be locked in the Big Brother house this year, but another Adelaide musician, Josh Moore, has managed to score a place in front of the all seeing cameras.

Moore is the frontman of Adelaide band Messrs who describe their sound as a mix of Cut Copy and Foals. They recently performed at Spin Off Festival with Lana Del Rey, Band of Skulls and Kimbra, and have supported an impressive list of indie acts including San Cisco, Jungle Giants, Neon Indian, Cut Off Your Hands, Snakadaktal, Last Dinosaurs and Jinja Safari.

Back when the band was known as The Touch, Richard Kingsmill wrote a three star reviewed the band’s single Shot claiming that “Despite being pretty derivative, and sounding like something that should have come out around the time The Faint were making their move, this band still has plenty of potential in their skinny black pants.”

The 2008 edition of Big Brother also had a minor musical celebrity in the house with I Killed The Prom Queen and Confession singer/serial bandmate sacker Michael Crafter joining the action.

The Nothing Rhymes With David album hasn't come out yet.

What is there to write about?

Imagine when you get some international exposure and you find out that something rhymes with David in another language and you have to change your name. Won't that be awkward.

Nothing Rhymes with Dvd.

Everyone in Adelaide knows this bloke is a jerk. Please don't fuel his fire by shining the spotlight on him, thereby feeding his constant attention seeking douche-bag personality...
