To help you with all your Soundwave 2013 ticket purchases the festival has put together a handy list to answer all your panicked questions and ensure that you can get your hands on tickets without too much stress.
How much do Tickets cost?
$170+GST+ booking fee + Credit Card Processing Fee = $195.85
$170+GST+ booking fee + Credit Card Processing Fee = $198.20 (Perth: includes transport levy) AJ Maddah says that Soundwave has ‘absorbed transaction fees but apparently not credit card fees and processing or some bullshit.’
Will there by any additional charges when I purchase tickets?
No. The Price is all inclusive. If you take the print at home at option, your ticket will cost the prices listed. An additional charge of $9.95 will occur if you choose to have physical tickets posted.
What time is the Pre-sale?
Wednesday 15 August 9am, Sydney AEST
Thursday 16 August 9am, Adelaide (CST) and Perth (WST)
Friday 17 August 9am, Melbourne AEST Friday 17 August 9am, Brisbane AEST
Can I buy Pre-sale Tickets at an outlet?
No, tickets will only be available via http://soundwavefestival.com
The link to access the Pre Sale will be emailed to you.
What happens if I did not get my Presale email?
email firstname.lastname@example.org the night prior to your Pre Sale and Soundwave will issue you with a link.
What is the maximum amount of Pre-Sale ticket I can purchase
Maximum amount of tickets than can be purchased at any one time is 4 at Members pre-sale. Maddah says that ‘Any 1 credit card booking more than 10 tickets will have all their transactions cancelled.’
I’m going to more than one Soundwave, can I purchase up to 4 tickets per show in the Presale?

I live overseas… How do I purchase Tickets to Soundwave Festival 2013?
Soundwave does not send out any tickets via international mail. Instead, please choose the Barcode E-ticket option and your ticket/s will be delivered via email to you. The attachment will be your ticket/s, please print the attachment and ensure you bring to the event to gain entry.
I’ve “reserved tickets” but do not have my confirmation and I’m freaking out!
Due to the large number of people wanting to purchase Soundwave tickets, oztix has implemented a system to ensure customers have a smooth purchasing process. Once your order has been successfully processed you will receive an order receipt from oztix via email. It may take up to 48 hours to receive your e-mail confirmation, however most people will receive it within a few hours. If after 48 hrs you have not received an order receipt from oztix please email email@example.com with your name and email address and they can look into it for you.
What happens if there is a problem with payment, will I lose my reservation?
No, you will receive an email from Oztix to let you know your payment has been unsuccessful. You will then have 24 hours to successfully complete your order.
Will there be tickets available when the General Public sale commences on August 23?
Providing the event does not sell out during Pre-sale. Maddah says that “I would be amazed if Bris/Syd/Melb do not sell out instantly… Honestly [I think Sydney will sell out in] under an hour.” Just two hours into the pre-sale he claimed that 70% of the tickets for Sydney have already been sold.
