First act revealed for FieldDay 2013 lineup

New Year’s Day institution Field Day has announced its return for 2013 and to kick things off, the festival has also revealed the first act on the bill. The honours have gone to Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, who’s also locked in Falls Festival for NYE and recently sold out his one-off Sydney club show in just 40 minutes. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs had been due to play the last Field Day, but postponed his tour at the last minute.

TEED is the only act that Field Day is revealing just yet, but they’ve promised to play host to “the best indie and dance artists from around the globe” and assured that the full line-up will arrive soon. On January 1st this year, Field Day featured sets from Gotye, Metronomy, Crystal Castles and Justice.

This video all but confirms Two Door Cinema Club, Hot Chip, SBTRKT, Fakeblood and a couple more. And confirms TEED obviously.

Maybe the M... is M.I.A and the following S is Scuba but less sure on those... lack of anything that could be Carl Craig is sads :( also the Hives :(

I hear Hot Chip between TDCC and SBTRKT. also pretty confident Django Django is in there as well.

Ooh I could hear that, not so confident but sounds like Ho- -ip. Wooo. Looking good to me. Hopefully they add the Chemical Brothers so I don't need to go to Shore thing!
