Peats Ridge announce 2012festival lineup

“The location is gorgeous, the dickhead factor is at an all-time low and if it was any more laid back, it would probably fall over.” Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts and Music Festival will return to Glenworth Valley this New Year’s Eve with a distinct lack of dickheads and one very relaxed lineup.

With a focus on creating a total experience for all, Peats Ridge hosts art installations, kooky themed venues, multimedia, theatre, dance, cabaret, comedy, circus, and much, much more, all winding along the riverbank and dotted through a unique event site.

The festival also prides itself as a world leader in sustainable events and remains family orientated with a full children’s program available. The Peats Ridge experience is about much more than the music, as the festival’s founder Matt Grant told FasterLouder in 2009, “What makes a festival is when the sun goes down and the place really comes alive. You’re creating an alternate reality for people at a festival – an opportunity to step out of their everyday lives.”

Can't wait to see Blood Red Shoes again(assuming they'll do a sideshow), one of my highlights from Scotland.

really good lineup for peats ridge standards... doesn't worth $340 though... will consider going if nothing better comes up... hoping for a Blood Red Shoes side show

That seems like an insane amount of $ for a lineup like that

Peats line ups are fucking huge though in the end....so so so many acts and things to do.....the money is well justified

ive been to peats many times as well as falls.. it might not have the world class lineup, but its 40 minutes from sydney and its got more arts, workshops and other stuff than you could poke a stick at.
love falls as well - but peats is something special. you're not paying for the lineup
