Mumford bring 'Gentlemen ofthe Road' concert to Oz

Mumford and Sons have today confirmed that they are officially bringing their ‘Gentlemen of the Road’ concept to Australia as part of their forthcoming tour with Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes.
According to the band they “want to stop off in towns where bands don’t usually tour, and celebrate the local people, food and music… We’re keen to promote the town’s local businesses, and we’ll be using the local bars and venues for after-show parties, whilst working closely with the local people to get everyone involved in making these shows spectacular. There will be a host of our friends playing too, and the vibe falls somewhere between ‘traveling Victorian circus’ and ‘Victorian traveling circus.’ It should be a whole lot of fun.”
Exactly who, what and where the event is to be held will all be revealed on Wednesday August 8th – but until then Laneway Festival has built an awesome little app to help you guess the town where Mumford will land for this special event. Head to the Laneway Facebook page to start guessing and you could go in the draw to win VIP camping passes plus pit access to the concert.
Stay tuned to FL for the full announcement next week.
