Falls Festival 2012 lineup:Second announcement

The next batch of acts for the Falls festival 2012 lineup has been revealed with another seven acts joining the New Year’s Eve festivities.

The announcement is led by Hilltop Hoods, who helped us celebrate the beginning of 2010 at Falls in Lorne. Indie kids Bombay Bicycle Club and First Aid Kit will return to Australia for their second visits of 2012 following their warmly received visits earlier in the year, while Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs makes up for his last minute cancellation last year to bring us his debut album Trouble.

Stay tuned for several more announcements as the final lineup for the festival, which is celebrating its twenty-year anniversary in Lorne and tenth anniversary in Tasmania, will feature 80 acts.

Brilliant additions! Hot Chip and TEED are just about the only acts I'm still keen to see on the festival circuit this year. Will definitely attend something, hopefully Field Day gets them all

it was always imminent that they would announce lame people like hilltop and boy & bear for those of us who aren't cool enough to appreciate sbtrkt, hot chip, beach house etc..
and would regina spektor dare play another festival here after the damage aston shuffle did to her set at splendour?
am i the only one who didn't know maximo park were still alive and doing things?
keen for them live though, lineup is shaping up nicely.

Laneway is usually pretty bogan-free. Haven't been to Meredith or Golden Plains yet but wouldn't they also be pretty bogan-free with the no douche policy?

I would say laneway is close to bogan free. this year especially it was. the year before there were a few more drawn in by TDCC but they're like, level 1 bogans, BDO being 5.

from what I can recall harvest was a no bogan affair too.

falls was pretty minimal. crowd was as decent as most I've seen, problem is if there's a group of fuckwits they dont leave and go elsewhere after a while, they're there all day, only going back to the tent to drink.
