Blink 182 confirm Australiantour for February 2013

Blink 182’s drummer Travis Barker has announced that his bandmates will be on tour in Australia in February 2013, which suggests that the band will finally be here for Soundwave.
This will be the band’s first Australian tour since 2004 but there one significant catch: Barker won’t be joining Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge on tour.
The news has broken via a post on Barker’s Instagram (which was then posted in the FL forums earlier tonight). The drummer posted a live photo of the band playing at The Eden Project in the UK declaring that he “Had a blast playing” the gig prompting a with the curious name ‘miseryfuckinglovesme’ to post “Hey, there’s this place called Australia that would love to see you guys too…..” Barker quickly replied “Mark and Tom will be there in Feb of next year but with a full in drummer cause I don’t fly. Sorry brotha”
Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah, who is also in the UK at the moment, announced on Twitter that he was planning to meet with the band last month. And, for what it’s worth, Triple M reporter Nui Te Koha made his annual Blink tour prediction last week, claiming that the band was a “healthy” chance of making the Soundwave lineup.
