Gomez announce their annualAustralian tour
Wed 4th Jul, 2012 in Local News
Back in the year 2000 Gomez made their first visit to Australia and decided they kinda liked the place. They’ve returned for festivals like Falls, Bluesfest and Splendour and in October the Gomez crew will pack their bags for their eleventh Australian tour (and that doesn’t seem to include the occasional solo jaunt from singers Ian Ball and Ben Ottewell).
Gomez will be letting the fans choose the setlists on their Quinceanera tour to help celebrate their 15th year of live performances. The tour will see the band touching down in Darwin and then playing shows long the East Coast before heading over to New Zealand. Unfortunately there are no shows for fans in Perth and Adeliade this time around.
True fans (who have no doubt see the band on every Australian visit) can even grab an upgraded ticket that includes access to an after show meet and greet, a silkscreened tour poster, a download of rare tracks and an autographed copy of the band’s new album Whatever’s On Your Mind.
Gomez tour:
Wednesday 10 October – Trailer Boat Club, Darwin
Thursday 11 October – Tanks Art Centre, Cairns
Friday 12 October – The Venue, Townsville
Saturday 13 October – Coolangata Hotel , Coolangata
Sunday, 14 October – Tivoli Theatre , Brisbane
Thursday, 18 October – Panthers , Newcastle
Friday, 19 October – The Hi Fi, Sydney
Sunday 21 October – The Corner, Melbourne
