Rock-It Festival 2012 lineup
Fri 29th Jun, 2012 in Local News
Back in April when the Black Keys tour was announced the Perth date revealed that after a brief hiatus the Rock-It festival would be making a comeback in October. Now we can announce who will be joining the world beating, Nickelback and Van Halen hating Black Keys on the lineup at Joondalup Arena on Sunday 28th October.
The local additions to the festivities are headed by The John Butler Trio and Birds Of Tokyo with able support from the likes of The Panics, Lanie Lane and Last Dinosaurs, while the lineup in the ‘world famous Kongs rock and roll shack’ features a fantastic collection of bands including Royal Headache, The Kill Devil Hills and Graveyard Train.
With the promoters never wavering from their motto: “Easy to pee, easy to see, easy to hear and easy for beer” the festival has been a firm favourite among Perth music lovers, and occasionally taken place twice in the one calendar year.
Debuting in 1999 with Silverchair, Powderfinger and Beaverloop on the lineup, Rock-It has taken place sporadically over the last 12 years and featured some huge names along the way, including: Green Day, The Foo Foghters, Oasis and The Kings of Leon, who headlined the last event in 2009.
