Soundwave 2013 lineup -Confirmations, LikelyAdditions and Ruled Out Bands

THE OFFICIAL SOUNDWAVE 2013 LINEUP HAS BEEN RELEASED

Updated – 7th August:

The Soundwave 2013 lineup announcement will be the subject of rumours and wild speculation right up until the moment it’s unveiled and that’s just the way the festival likes it.

Festival boss AJ Maddah has been very busy feeding the rumour mill and his Twitter addiction and we’re been keeping a close eye on the lineup hints that he has been dropping.

Plenty of bands have been ruled out (including every band from Soundwave 2012) and a few already confirmed, but it can be difficult to keep up on all the latest news so we’ve put it all together here in a list that will be updated as new announcements and hints are revealed. Knowing Maddah that means that this story will be updated almost daily in the long lead up to the official announcement.

Maddah has also confirmed the Soundwave 2013 tour dates telling fans back in May that “We start Feb 23 in Brisbane, 24 in Sydney and so on.”

Soundwave 2013 dates

Saturday 23rd February – Brisbane
Sunday 24th February – Sydney
Friday 1st March – Melbourne
Saturday 2nd March – Adelaide
Monday 4th March – Perth

We’ve split the bands into the categories based on Maddah’s comments, however this is only a guide. Nothing is 100% official until Soundwave HQ confirms it, but don’t let that stop you from getting a little excited.

The lineup is expected to be announced in early to mid-August and will feature roughly 50 acts. Maddah has told fans that they should have their cash ready to buy tickets on August 15th and the he the announcement will be made on August 8th.
