Of Monsters and Men tour

Icelandic indie six piece Of Monsters and Men will touch down for their first Australian shows in July.
The indie folk crew would seem to fit a little to perfectly in the bill with that rumoured Mumford and Sons/Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros tour later this year, but have chosen to go it alone with a run of three East Coast dates.
Of Monsters and Men made their SXSW debut earlier this year delivering a stack of dynamic live shows laced with folk charm and fist-pumping choruses and earning a reputation as one of the bands to watch in 2012 with rave reviews from Nylon, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone.
The band had been rumoured for the Harvest festival lineup but were ruled out by festival promoter AJ Maddah, who told fans back in May that Of Monsters and Men, had received “another festival offer with which we can’t compete.” So, if we’re to believe Maddah, there’s a good chance we’ll see Of Monsters and Men returning after these shows to play on a festival lineup this summer.
