Parklife 2012 dates

Parklife, the festival that boasts that it’s for “music heads and dancing feet”, will be back September and October stopping in on Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Following last year’s mudbath in Sydney the show has been moved from Kippax Lake a location in Centennial Park that has previously hosted Good Vibrations and the V Festivals.

The promoters haven’t announced when we’re likely to see a lineup but the rumoured tours from Robyn, Sleigh Bells and The Ting Tings could well fit the bill.

Last year, the festival featured Gossip, Crystal Fighters, Santigold, Diplo, Digitalism, The Streets, Little Dragon, Lykke Li, and the strangely misplaced Death from Above 1979.

who do y'all think will play? I don't think ting tings are even a shot given the nature of Fuzzy's past bookings. I think Hot Chip/Passion Pit are a lock.

Robyn would get me there assuming she isn't tied in with Stereosonic still. Hot Chip would be pretty cool as well.

actually might end up going regardless of lineup this year. after really regretting on giving last year a miss.

The one Parklife I went to, despite its average line up, was a really fun day.

I've gone a couple of times and while I've had great days both times, so many annoying punters there. But that's to be expected I guess.

Parklife is usually alright there's just one or two acts that draw the dickheads in usually, the sound was always terrible at Kippax, I can't imagine Centennial being much better. Kippax was great cos it had the statue in the middle of the pond that some guy on acid climbed up one year and refused to get down until the end of the festival. How are they going to do that at Centennial!
