If you you’ve been foolish enough to miss World’s End Press at Splendour in the Grass, Falls, Laneway, Golden Plains, Southbound or opening for Primal Scream, Cut Copy, !!!, Little Red and Metronomy you need to get along to their upcoming shows to see their acid-house-disco shows.

According to FL’s reviewer, who caught the band opening for Little Red last year, the group “tore through a set of festival-ready anthems, defying the laws of thermodynamics and winning the crowd over in the process”.

The upcoming gigs will be the Melbourne band’s first headlining shows nearly a year in close to a year and fans can expect to hear live favourites and new tracks from the band’s forthcoming debut album, which is finally due for release later this year.

King Cannons’ debut album The Brightest Light will be unleashed on the 22nd of June and to celebrate the band will be playing a run of shows on the East Coast to show off their Springsteen, The Clash, Chuck Berry and reggae influenced tunes.
Having produced the lion’s share of the album Shihad’s Tom Larkin will join the band as the special guest-drummer for the tour that kicks of fin the band’s hometown. While the support comes from fellow Melbourne crew Major Tom & The Atoms, featuring ex-Little Red baritone crooner ‘Major’ Tom Hartney.

Sugar Army have a new album Summertime Heavy on the way. We’ve already hear the lead single Hooks For Hands but in June we’ll get to hear more new songs from the band when they play three gigs including their first shows on the East Coast since expanding to a five member lineup with the addition of Chris Simmons on Bass and Ben Pooley on keys/guitar.

Ned Collette will launch his second album, the creatively titled 2, on a five-date run in June. The collaboration between Collette and his Wirewalker bandmate Joe Talia was recorded in Melbourne and Berlin, where Collette has been based for the past two years.

Following the release of his stunningly bizarre/deeply disturbed clip for his new single _W II W (Way to War)), Kirin J Callinan has announced three dates. Performing with a full band, Callinan – an occasional member of Jack Ladder and Lost Animal – will play shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in June.
