Harvest festival 2012 datesconfirmed

The Harvest Festival website tells us that the festival is taking place “from 10th-18th November in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane”. And the ever-vocal twitter junkie AJ Maddah has now revealed that the Sydney show will be on the 17th of November with the Brisbane show the following day, which all but confirmed the Melbourne date as well.

The festival boss has been extremely busy replying to questions from Soundwave fans, but hasn’t answered many Harvest questions that could give us a clue about the lineup. Be careful how you ask your questions about the lineup though – last night one fan was blocked from Maddah’s Twitter feed and branded a “despicable little turd” after getting a little too enthusiastic with her demands. So ask about Sigur Ros, Animal Collective, Beck and whoever else you want to see at Harvest, but do it nicely!

The lineup for the festival was expected to be released later this month and although Maddah still says that the big announcement is “imminent” he has also dampened expectations by suggesting that we may have to wait until “early June”.

We can’t wait that long!

Harvest 2012 dates:
Saturday 10th November – Melbourne
Saturday 17th November – Sydney
Sunday 18th November – Riverstage, Brisbane

Is it definitely at Riverstage this year? Because last year we were told that it wouldnt be due to BCC regulating the Riverstage to be used for major events only once every three months...

Sigur Ros or Coldplay? I'd go Coldplay to be honest.

I'm probably going to hang out for sideshows from Sigur Ros, Brand New and whoever else I fancy (when they're announced)

Sunday festivals, like last Harvest and Soundwave in Sydney, are a drag because you have to work the next day. Hence it's a 'school night.'

Don't worry, I've got a plan:

I'm going to hide under a pile of coats and hope everything works out.

I am sure you can sell those coldplay tickets for 4 x the value anyway. Does Melbourne Harvest clash with Melbourne Coldplay? I am too lazy to look

The text on the Harvest Festival site has been changed it now says that Harvest is "taking place from 11th-18th November in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane"

That suggests that the first show will be on a Sunday in Melbourne.
