Adelaide gets a 'miniSplendour' with Spin OffFestival

The City Of Churches isn’t used to getting much sideshow action these days, so there is little doubt that South Australian music lovers will be more than excited to hear that this July Adelaide will be hosting its very own mini Splendour In The Grass – the inaugural Spin Off Festival.

Headlined by Lana Del Rey, Band Of Skulls, Friends and Kimbra, Spin Off will take place on Saturday July 21st in the Jubilee Pavilion at Wayville Showground, and also features Last Dinosaurs, Bleeding Knees Club, DZ Deathrays, Yacht Club DJs and The Rubens.

The announcement comes only days after Perth’s own mini Splendour On The Bright Side announced it will be taking a year off “Due to conflicting artist schedules.” While WA fans were disappointed, both Smashing Pumpkins and Metric have announced sideshows in the West.

A joint venture between Splendour co-promoter Paul Piticco and Adelaide company 5/4 Entertainment, tickets to Spin Off are $99 and go on sale Wednesday May 16th from www.moshtix.com.au.

Spin Off Festival lineup:
Lana Del Rey
Band of Skulls
Friends
Kimbra
Last Dinosaurs
Bleeding Knees Club
Dz Deathrays
Yacht Club DJs
The Rubens

Needs ATDI. Think they will do a Sidey?

That would go against the fact that Splendour is their "only Australian show" wouldn't it?

Poor Adelaide. If they're not getting skipped, they're just getting the dregs.

I was dissing Adelaide and I have been there. I lived their for three months.
Why did we move back to QLD I hear you ask? Well it's really quite simple... it was a pretty shitty place to live.

Friends and the silent disco were the highlights (that and good drugs)...

the rest, total snore-fest.
