Coachella 2012 live stream –Australian timetable

Check out full sets from Arctic Monkeys, Pulp, The Black Keys and more

Coachella 2012 will be streaming live this weekend so get ready for a long weekend on the couch in front of YouTube.

Sadly some of the festival’s most anticipated sets including Radiohead, God Speed You! Black Emperor and the Dr Dre/ Snoop/hologram Nate Dogg set won’t be seen on the live stream, but there’s still plenty of goodness to make you regret that fact that you’re not watching it all live in the Californian desert. Just try to avoid checking on the updates from your mates who are actually at the festival – it will cause far too much pain.

It all kicks off tomorrow morning and you can kill your Saturday by watching the likes of Yuck, Arctic Monkeys, Madness, Mazzy Star, The Black Keys, Explosions in the Sky, Refused and Amon Tobin from your lounge room.

On Sunday morning you can eat your breakfast while watching Big Pink, Childish Gambino, The Vaccines, We Were Promised Jetpacks and Azealia Banks and then settle in for a lazy couch day watching Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Shins, Kasabian and Bon Iver. Then on Monday you can ‘work’ while watching sets from Wild Flag, The Hives, Beirut, Gotye and Florence and the Machine.

All the action will be streaming live on the Coachella YouTube channel.

There is a reason he wrote 'I Need a Doctor' with Eminiem, listen to the lyrics once or twice. Dre wants to come back to rap but he doesn't think he can, I don't know what it was but something happened and he just stopped. I think Eminem and Snoop convinced him to come back and so he did for this performance, hopefully he had a fucking ball and will be back soon. I wouldn't be upset if Splendour booked them, don't give a fuck what MAB said

tyler07

It's not about what MAB said, it's just not going to happen. Dre just played his first full set in what, 10 years? Do you really think that he is going to play Splendour in the Grass? C'mon son.

He was in fucking fine form though, and he absolutely killed Forgot About Dre. My god I would love to see him and Snoop here so much, shit would just be so loose.

Also this is the full setlist according to setlist.fm (which as far as I can see is correct):

To anyone still wondering why Coachella lineups are so much bigger than anything we see in Australia:

According to NBC Los Angeles, 80,000-85,000 people attended each of the festival’s three days, up some 10,000 from last year.

Stixx

Stixx said on the 20th Apr, 2012

Not at all, sold out within 4 hours in 2011 and they take a year off every 5 years to let the farm recover and that happened to be this year, it also coincided with the Olympics which means that there would have been a portaloo shortage which according to Michael Eavis would have been a massive problem

i was going to give a sarcastic dickhead response but in a good mood this morning so i shall refrain.

Glasto 2011 sold its 140 000 tickets (no single day options) in less than a day. the only year it struggled was 2008 which was the peak of the GFC.

2009 -
