First acts for Fat as Butterrevealed - 90s are back with avengeance!

Following the lead of the Vengaboys and Aqua, two more of the ‘90s biggest selling dance artists – Eiffel 65 and N-Trance – are teaming up for an Australian tour that includes a stop at Newcastle’s annual Fat As Butter festival.
As shocking (or saddening) as it may be to remember Eiffel 65 were inescapable in 1999 with their signature tune Blue (Da Ba Dee) introducing the world to the Italian three-piece’s pioneering autotune work. That classic track went three times platinum in Australia spending nine weeks at number one and only being out sold by the pre-millennial hits Mambo No 5 and ...Baby One More Time. According to the tour announcement the group’s “reputation was cemented when acts like S Club 7, Nek & the Bloodhound Gang asked Eiffel 65 to remix some of their tracks”.
N-Trance hit the scene in 1990 with their reworked disco numbers and after just two albums had enough hits to release a best of compilation. They toured Australia (with Run DMC!?) in 1998 and apparently regrouped a few years ago to offer their loyal fans a new album and return to the live circuit.
The lineup for this staggering tour is rounded out by Mr.95, who will be playing a special set of ‘90s party starters.
