The Shins "pencilled in” for Splendour In The Grass

Following on from the news that Band Of Skulls are heading our way this winter just in time for a certain festival, The Shins have let slip that they have Splendour In The Grass “pencilled in” their tour diaries as well.

Speaking with The Vine frontman James Mercer said: “I know there was talk about Splendour in the Grass, but that’s like, pencilled into my calendar. It’s not official. So it would be trying to be something together around there, I suppose.”

The Shins are due to release their long-awaited fourth album Port Of Morrow next month, and have already given fans a taste of what is to come with the popilicious single Simple Song.

The Shins were last on our shores as part of the 2007 Splendour In The Grass lineup.
