Gen Fest 2012 – A fundraiserfor Genny B

Cancer is really bad. Chemo might even be worse. RRR stalwart Genny B knows all of this and more. The Livewire co-host and guitarist of Your Wedding Night and The Bites has spent the last year grappling with the big C, enduring debilitating chemo treatments whilst working overtime to cover the rent. Luckily, Genny B is a lady with a lot of talented friends, and they’ve decided to come together for Gen Fest 2012.

Hosted by Alan Brough and Jess McGuire and presented by Inpress, Gen Fest will be going down at The Corner Hotel on Thursday February 16th. Featuring live performances from Dan Kelly, Davey Lane, Dan Luscombe, Glenn Richards and Teeth and Tongue’s Jess Cornelius (prior to her departure for South by Southwest), the festivities will be fleshed out with contributions from Architecture In Helsinki DJs, Chapter Music DJs, and Trifekta DJs. As if all that wasn’t enough, Chapter Music, Modular Records, Mucho Bravado, Popboomerang and Trifekta Records will be doing giveaways and prizes all night. There’ll even be a raffle! Tickets are a very reasonable $25, and all proceeds will go towards assisting Genny B in her fight.
