…and it’s a pretty solid one. The venue, which changed hands in November and announced the end of its commitment to live music in December, has booked Oscar + Martin, Parking Lot Experiments and Milk Teddy for its last waltz.
The venue has hosted a quality array of acts since its refurbished band room opened in 2006 (including a remarkable five out of six record with AMP winners, Augie March the only holdouts), and its final month or so will see Laneway sideshows from Yuck, Active Child and Chairlift, as well as local acts from all over the sonic spectrum: Dick Diver and Geoffrey O’Connor, through Jimi Hocking and Jordie Lane, and all the way to Puta Madre Brothers and I Exist.
Oscar + Martin, Parking Lot Experiments and Milk Teddy will be bringing down the curtain on February 29th. The venue’s majestic vegan parmas are believed to be unaffected by the upheavals in the band room.
