St Jerome's Laneway Festival2012 set times

With less than two weeks to go until St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, the event has released the 2012 timetables, and boy does it have us in a lather!

This year’s eclectic lineup which features the likes of Yuck, Girls and SBTKT, will be spread out across four stages in most cities, and organisers have ensured one very sexy headline run of Feist, The Horrors and M83.

I don't think people need to be worries about M83 not being there. Like the French band is going to miss the state where some of the best wine comes from.

Laneway have just contacted us to say the set times went live early, they will be updated soon. We'll publish amendments then.

usually don't read the facebook pages of festivals but decided to have a scroll through the Laneway one. and wow haven't i been missing out on some quality entertainment. the hate at the timetables had me in all sorts of lolz and lmao. did people seriously think that a lineup as (looking for a word that describes a festival lineup where there are a ton of acts of equal prominence) laneway's wasn't going to have a few big clashes?

also find it interesting that the artist doing the biggest sideshow ie Laura Marling is also doing a mid afternoon set in most cities.

feist and the drums/cults are doing bigger shows than marling, and the horrors are doing the same venue but id argue are a bigger act, where she's placed seems fitting. means I can see her pretty face in the daylight too.

i'm taking a sydney perspective of course. where she's doing SOH and apparently she's sold out all 2500 seats. at least according to the website she has. i find it a little hard to believe.......

I don't know why people care so much about M83. I saw them here in Austin, and they were far and away the worst live band I have seen in my time here (out of about 400 bands), and possibly my entire life. All hype, and no talent. My favourite part was when the drummer managed to drum without moving his arms or legs.

This is part of what I saw from M83. Some people banging a stick against some midi pads or whatever the fuck they are doing. Some people standing around and pressing a button every now and then to play the song. I reckon a bunch of children could do this.

A few months ago I thought M83 live was just Anthony with keyboards/ decks.

Compared to that, a stage full of people getting into the music and banging shit is awesome.

anyone know why there are a few 30 min sets? i've seen push on sets longer than this.

With the current state of brisbane this worries me again. Luckily last year it ended up being a scorching hot day but I'm still anxious about this.

Seems this guy used it as his opportunity to test out his fresh, new material.
