Like you wouldn't be at Soundgarden anyway.

Grinners are winners.

Only the best news in the world :/ and members of the forum thought that Example or Interpol (playing 'Turn On The Bright Lights) could have played haha

I would like to know who thought it would be Interpol so I can put them in a hole and throw rocks at them.

Someone joked about Interpol, but I can't remember who

I liked lilyworld better when it was a place where I could lay down on a beanbag to get away from the gronks. So glad I am not going.

They did, the jokes they made were called Our Love To Admire and Self-Titled

I'd be keen on some Dead Kelly action on the 'Hot Produce' stage...

Grinspoon.....SERIOUSLY?!....*yawn* How about a band that people havent seen play at every festival for the past 50 years

Now i get what people are saying about this being a poor lineup. No way would I have paid full price for these tickets.

*rant over*

Wait, so you're saying that before this was announced you didn't think it was a bad lineup, but now that they've ADDED a band that you don't really like, your opinion of the lineup has diminished?

Your logic is flawed.

You guys are complaining about Grinners while Melbourne gets a fucking rap battle?

Unless it's Das Racist v Kanye battling for hipster fans, I'm not interested.

Most of the people who complain about the lineup don't even know half of the bands on the lineup.

Average laneway punter seeing a new laneway lineup with bands they haven't heard of on it: "Yay new bands to get into!"
Average BDO punter seeing a new BDO lineup with bands they haven't heard of on it: "WTF is this p00FTA shit?!"

That being said, Grinspoon play everything but there was already stuff on during that time anyways.

The lineup has always been pretty weak, with only a handful of bands i'd like to see. I guess this just put the icing on the cake. Either way - i'm still going, so i'll make the best of the situation.

People can slag off about Grinspoon as much as they like, but they are the kings of festival sets. Have caught them a number of times and they have been great each time.

Pretty sure there is a huge difference between an average laneway punter and an average BDO punter, one spottable difference is one isn't draped in an Australian flag.

No he's draped in an all over floral print shirt and boat shoes.

has anybody downloaded the BDO App? i have it on both Android and iOS. both seem quite underwhelming. doesn't do much that a piece of paper couldn't.

An interactive game where you control slip_dog as he tries to catch all the falling glowsticks.

berlinchair101

berlinchair101 said on the 17th Jan, 2012

I would prefer a version of Pac Man where slip_dog has to run away from boys who are trying to kiss him but when he gets a glowstick he turns around and trys to kiss them.

i was thinking a RustyinBondi game where you run from black people trying to mug you. a Daisy Lowe section on the app would've been much appreciated as well.

also found it a little bizarre that the app has a link to buying tickets. why would you download the app if you don't have tickets??

berlinchair101

berlinchair101 said on the 17th Jan, 2012

I agree it seems weird but it would be foolish of them to miss another avenue for ticket sales.
