Don't Miss The SouthboundFestival

Perth’s own answer to the bohemoth “onsite-camping” style festivals swarming the east coast and Europe, The Southbound Festival, is back with a vengeance. Last years line-up featured locals such as The Fuzz, The Panda Band, Little Birdy and Eskimo Joe, national acts Machine Gun Fellatio and Regurgitator, and internationals Veruca Salt and The Thrills. Building on the events massive reception last year, organisers have begun to release details of this years contenders, all gracing themselves on the three stages to be set up at Sir Stewart Bovell Park in Busselton, on Monday the 2nd of January.

The lineup so far for the all ages event, supported by Triple J, is already living up to everyones expectations. International acts such as experimental pop outfit The Dandy Warhols, ten piece eclectic group Ozomatli and pop-folk quintet The Shins have already been confirmed, as well as Australias own roots act The Beautiful Girls, melodic indie-popettes The Panics, Butterfingers and The Grates, with more acts to be announced in October.

As well as the obvious lineup of talented musicians that will feature on the three stages  the main stage, big top and DJ tent  there will also be show rides, stalls, bars and lounges, as well as post festival entertainment exclusive to those that camp at the site.

Tickets for the festival will cost $79+bf, overnight onsite camping costing an extra $18+bf. Let it be known that these camping tickets are strictly limited. Tickets for the event will go on sale this Thursday, the 22nd of September, available from Sunset Events with no booking fee charged or through BOCS Ticketing

Stay tuned to FasterLouder for updates on the event.

Hate to be a pain (lies! I love it!) but Southbound isn't Perth's answer to anything. The lead also implies it's always been a camping fest... I'm pretty sure the camping thing is new. This means I can drink and drive! (With a sleep in between, of course!
