Sydney Festival has announced a huge lineup for Festival First Night in the Domain, including the debut Australian performance from Manu Chao.
On January 7th festivities will be kicked off in the domain by one of this country’s finest musical talents, Gurrumul. Fresh from charming the kids at Homebake there is no doubt his tender tunes will have the whole Domain in raptures.
Second on the bill will be the wonderful Miss Washington, who after a stint of writing and performing in New York will be playing one of her first shows back on Australian soil for Sydney-siders.
And last but not least, the man described by Pitchfork as as “the ringmaster of a multicultural, cross-generational, genre-busting circus” Manu Chao will be finishing the party one hell of a hip-shaking note.
