Duran Duran return toAustralia

After a few false starts Duran Duran will return to Australia next March, for the first time since V Festival in 2008.

The last time the 80s popstars were on shores, showing off their well maintained bouffant’s and making Aunty Janice scream, they sharply divided opinions with one FL reviewer describing the experience as, “the best night out I’ve had in quite some time and another” and another quite infamously stating, “The definition of depressing in 2008 is Duran Duran onstage.”

Come March 2012 you will get the chance to make up your own mind about Le Bon and co at the following shows.

Duran Duran tour:
Saturday 17th March – Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
Tuesday 20th March – Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide
Wednesday 21st March – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Saturday 24th March – Sandalford Estate, Perth
Tuesday 27th March – Sydney Entertainment Centre
Saturday 31st March – Tempus Two Winery, Hunter Valley

Tickets on sale December 15th.

I wonder how much this tour will be about promoting a new album, and how much they'll play a career best of... This year's album seems to be good, but still it will be disappointing if they focus too heavily on new songs.
