Future Music Festival 2012second line-up coming onMonday

8am on Monday is truly an unkind hour of the working week – except when it heralds a blockbuster second line-up for Future Music Festival 2012!

That’s right: at 8am on Monday 5th December we’ll have a sight for bleary eyes when we lift the curtain on who else is joining the FMF touring party.

Even before the new injection of talent, 2012 is looking like the biggest year yet for Future Music Festival. It’s a line-up that already runs deep with Fatboy Slim, The Wombats, The Rapture, Aphex Twin, Frank Ocean, Die Antwoord and many more on the huge lineup.

We can assure you there’s plenty of star power in the second announcement, too. So that’s 8am, Monday 5 December right here on Fasterlouder, for your bright start to the week.

Future Music Festival dates:
Saturday 3rd March – Doomben Racecourse, Brisbane
Sunday 4th March – Arena Joondalup, Perth
Saturday 10th March – Royal Randwick Racecourse, Sydney
Sunday 11th March – Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
Monday 12th March – Ellis Park, Adelaide

The only thing worse than David Guetta on a lineup is Martin Solveig and Skrillex on a lineup. So I guess Creamfields is improving?

Well, a while ago, the soundwave promoter said that it was about to get 'even better', so I would guess New Order, since they are supposedly touring soon-ish.

INFLUENTIAL British band New Order will co-headline the Future Music Festival in March.

The band rarely tours and last visited Australia in 2002 for the Big Day Out.

Promoter Future Entertainment will make an official announcement this week.

New Order, a seminal electronic and alternative band, is a coup for the festival.

The band's hits include Blue Monday, Bizarre Love Triangle and The Perfect Kiss.

Future director Jason Ayoubi said: ``They have been disbanded and off the tour circuit for a while.

``So when they decided to do a few shows recently, we looked on with interest.

``We explained the relevance of New Order to our event, and how the Future Music Festival is based in electronic roots.

``They liked what we said and accepted our offer.''

New Order rose from the ashes of iconic British band, Joy Division, which disbanded after the death of lead singer Ian Curtis.

The band still comprises founding members Bernard Sumner, Gillian Gilbert and Stephen Morris. Bassist Peter Hook left the band in 2006.

Pop star Jessie J and DJs Swedish House Mafia and Fatboy Slim will also perform at Future Music Festival, at Flemington Racecourse on March 11.

Definitely matched up with the comments by AJ/Promotors and that New Order interview. So maybe it'll be what was on that leaked poster with New Order instead of David Guetta?

New Order better have a sideshow, they'd be wasted on the mainstage at Future. At least put them on the side stage or Likes of You would be nice if not a little optimistic

For those up and bored, if you go to http://www.futureentertainment.com.au/futuremusicfestival/artists/new-order?city=Melbourne you will get the message "You are not authorized to access this page." for New Order, whereas if you type in any other band on the link instead that was on that leaked lineup, or rumoured above, you get "The requested page could not be found." - so if there's something that you think it might be, that's one way to find out. Or the easier option is just to wait 6hrs...

Been reading reviews of the New Order headline set that happened yesterday at a fest in Sao Paulo. They're calling them not only a bad live act, but one of the worst live acts ever.

The prospect of not going and holding onto good memories based on studio recordings suddenly seems more appealing.

Also, they headlined over SHM at the fest, so expect the same here.

I read some reviews of their first comeback shows, and they were pretty positive, so idk, maybe it was a bad day for them?

To be fair you didn't even go to the Likes of You stage, or even the trance stage.

Likes of You stage is by itself the best festival of the year. The crowd is great, the music is great, the douche bags have no idea what a Sven Väth is so they stay far away. The trance stage is usually pretty decent too, it's mostly the main stage which is a pool of std infected satanic filth.

I remember that year, the A&B stage was the best. Mat Zo and Super&Tab were amazing. Guetta made me want to curl into a ball and cry
