2011 SMAC award nominations

The nominees for the 2011 Sydney Music Art and Culture awards have been announced. The awards presented by FBi recognise Sydney’s artists, musos, venues, promoters, creators and culture makers who (in FBi’s words) “keep the city’s creative heart beating”.

In 2011 the awards tip Catcall, Lanie Lane, Matt Corby, Royal Headache, Jonti,
Oliver Tank and Wim as the next big things. Nominees in other categories include Step Panther, Belles Will Ring, Seekae, Ghoul, Jack Ladder, Jonathan Boulet and the Radiant Live shows curated by FBi host and FL contributor Adam Lewis (aka esquared ).

In addition to all the musical categories below the The Gate Presents No Fixed Address gig series has also been nominated in the “Remix the City” category.

Last years winners included Cloud Control, Guineafowl, The Jezabels, Laneway Festival, Changing Lanes.
