Soundgarden sideshows

Big Day Out headliners Soundgarden will play two huge sideshows while Down Under this January.

When the recently reformed 90s legends last visited our shores they had just released Down On The Upside and were only months away from calling it quits. Now, close to 15 years later, they are back – reunited and ready to show off a record’s worth of new tunes.

Talking to FasterLouder last month Chris Cornell spoke candidly about Soundgarden’s past and shared his excitement about their forthcoming album: “I think it’s going to surprise people, mainly in that it’s not going to sound nostalgic, and it’s not going to sound like a failed attempt at nostalgia or a failed attempt at trying to sound like we did 15 years ago. It doesn’t have that feeling to me at all.”

And making these sideshows even more special is the fact that The Bronx will be shedding their Mariachi attire for the night and getting back in touch with their punk rock roots as support.

FasterLouder presents Soundgarden with The Bronx sideshows:
Wednesday 25th January – Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney
Wednesday 1st February – Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne

Tickets on sale 9am Tuesday 6th December.
