Tours in brief: Guttermouth,La Dispute

Two very different but very major names in punk and hardcore are coming to visit in early 2012 – Californian punk veterans Guttermouth and Michigan post-hardcore kids La Dispute.
Last here in 2010, conducting one of the most thorough national tours an international act is ever likely to do, Guttermouth return to tour throughout mid-January and into early February. Although the band have not released a studio album since 2006, they are constantly on the road and playing shows to their huge cult following.
This tour will take the band everywhere from Caringbah to Caloundra – and, in a bizarre turn of events, the band will be joined on the Victorian leg of the tour by recently-reunited rap-metal relics 28 Days.

Friday 3rd February – The Venue, Townsville
La Dispute first toured Australia on a DIY tour of warehouses, bookstores and rehearsal rooms back in 2009, before touring earlier this year to packed venues across the country.
One Sydney reviewer described a show on this tour quite succinctly: ‘La Dispute owned the Annandale…their honest and candid shows are a testament to their talent and skill as a band.’ The band’s tour in February is in support of their second studio album, Wildlife.
